Name Ornaments

Hello blogger world!!!  I have been away for too long.   Youth football and cheer were running my life and when it was over we went on vacation to Disney World.   We came back from that and headed right into Thanksgiving and now the holidays are in full swing!

I'm almost complete with my annual neighborhood ornament project and apparently I forgot to post my neighborhood ornament from 2013.  I bought these balls and used the Glitter It glue inside and then added the fine glitter, swirled it around and here you have the final product!

The names were done using vinyl and I cut the letters using the Storybook cartridge.   The red initials is at 3" and the last name is at 1 1/2".   I think I made 12 of them last year.   I was very pleased with how they turned out although working with the vinyl on a rounded surface is a job that requires quite a bit of patience!

Look at those Stripes

This card is honestly one of my favorites!  My husband is obsessed with the lawn and mowing.   I was looking for a Cricut cut for a lawn mower that was more of a zero turn mower but, I couldn't find one.   That sparked my idea for this card.
I cut one inch strips of paper in two different shades of green and then embossed them with the herringbone folder.   I used Martha Stewart fringe scissors to cut the grass across the top.   I printed the sentiment "It's alright to be a little 'edge' and get a little 'out of line'".

Another Scrabble Birthday

This is a second card I made using my scrabble paper scrap from Crate Paper.   I also used more letter rub ons from Making Memories and put them onto four squares.   I embossed the base paper with the Happy Birthday Cuttlebug folder and then used an EK Success border punch across the top.

Hexagon Sympathy

The base of this card was embossed using the Honeycomb folder then I used a negative cut from Elegant Edges that I had left over for the frame of this sympathy card.  The paper from the frame is Teresa Collins 6x6 Memories stack.   I embellished with a butterfly from SEI and a Fiskars sentiment.

Horses Make Her Happy!!!!

I bought the Carta Bella Giddy Up 6x6 stack with my cousin’s daughter in mind.   She LOVES horses.   So, this is her birthday card.  I cut the horse and fence cut from the Country Life cartridge at 2 ¾”.   The Fiskars sentiment is stamped on a punched oval and then frames by a scallop oval that was punched.   The Dear Lizzy ribbon adds a really girly tu-tu like touch.

Floral 50!

Today I have a flower card that I made for a co-worker who turned 50!  I started with the base from DCWV La Creme mat stack and then the frame is from Elegant Edges, Design1-S at 4 1/4", also using paper from the La Creme mat stack.   The flowers were all cut from Mother's Day Bouquet, using various flower cuts ranging from 1/2" - 1 1/2" and then put together using dimensional foam dots and brads in the centers.  The stems of the flowers are black gems from the Michael's bins and the stamp is from Inkadinkado.

July 4 Rosette/Wreath

Well, it's about two weeks away now isn't it?   Well, I thought I would post this beauty that I made for my front door for the 4th of July.   It was featured in Cricut Magazine's July 2013 issue and then returned to me.    I used Independence Day and Ribbons & Rosettes as well as an EK Success star punch and glitter paper.   I was really happy with how it turned out!!!   Enjoy the holiday everyone!

Just Married Bling

I honestly can't recall all of the details for this card but, I know that the silver and black mat paper is from DCWV, a 6x6 stack and it is shiny.    The cartouche frame was cut with Elegant Edges and the Just Married sentiment was cut with a Martha Stewart cartridge.   The bling gems on the left side are all one piece, a brad from House of Three.

Happy BD Anchor Negative

Yet another card using a negative cut.   This one I used some Michael's dollar store paper and then mounted the negative Anchor cut from Splish Splash at 3 1/2" and a sentiment from Studio G.   Quick and Easy!

Live Well Anchor

This picture is really bad but, I couldn't seem to get the camera to agree with me on this card.   The paper is from the Michael's dollar bins and the craft paper was embossed with the anchor folder from Lifestyle Crafts.   The anchor itself is the base cut from Splish Splash at 3 1/2"  I added some recycled twice and a sticker sentiment from the Target dollar bins.

Nautical Anchor

I think the summer brings out my love for the nautical theme.   I have some nautical themed Lifestyle Crafts embossing folders and that just put me in the mood.   The one that I used twice here on the two different blue colors is the Tide folder.   The bottom light blue piece was embossed (it's hard to see in this photo) with the anchors folder.
The anchor was cut from Splish Splash at 3 1/2" and I added a recycled piece of twine and a sentiment from Studio G.

Weathervane Thanks

This card was made using the Country Life cartridge.   The cut was done at 3 1/4".   I used a corner rounder and some ribbon from Target.   I can't remember where the paper is from but, I made the card for Teacher Appreciation week, which is this week!  Don't forget your teachers!!

Sew Thoughtful 2!

Another version of the Sew Thoughtful card.   The Jillibean Soup paper was very versatile with the different colors so this one, I made a little more of a country look.   The cut from Country Life is 2 1/2" with the layers but, on this card, I also wrapped the thread spool with yellow thread and then glued on the needle layer.   The embossing on the craft paper is from Tim Holtz and then I hand stitched over top of it with green.   The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms 'The Charmed Life'.

Gram loves Scrabble!

When I saw this scrabble paper in the Crate Paper Party Day 6x6 stack, I knew exactly who I was going to use it for…My Grandma!   She loves scrabble.   I added the red diamond paper from Crate Paper DIY Shop.   The individual letter tiles, I cut with my cutter and then used Making Memories rub on letters on each one.  I added a feminine touch by using some flowers from Michael's and then some Recollections brads in the centers of the flowers.  The trim I used is from Websters Pages “All About Me’ collection.

Preggo Congrats

This card was made for a friend who is expecting.   I used Teresa Collins (LOVE HER) paper from the 6x6 Memories stack and the Tell Your Story stack.   I cut the main frame from Elegant Edges.   It’s the Burst cut, Oblong, with Shift at 3 ½”.  The pregnant girl cut is from Everyday Pop Up Cards at 3 ¼” and flipped.  The ribbon is from American Crafts and then I used a printed sentiment and a corner rounder
