Spring is here, woohoo! Today's card was made using the Just Because Cards cartridge.
I started with the cloud paper that's from the new My Mind's Eye Fine & Dandy set. It instantly made me look forward to nice weather so, I cut the sun from JBC at 8.75". I forgot about the sizing of the card cartridges so, I had originally started cutting one at 4" and it was tiny so, I recut at 8.75" and it turned out perfect.
I wanted to glitter the rays of the sun without having the smiling face that the cut has so, I cut two solid circles and stopped at that. The first circle, I taped the back onto the center of the sun and then I ran the entire thing through the Xyron sticker maker. Afterwards, I pulled off the circle in the middle. I mixed together yellow and orange glitter and glittered the rays. The two colors togheter really looked great on the sun.
The other center circle, I embossed using the cuttlebug 'Seeing Spots' folder and then pop dotted it onto the sun.
The framing paper, with the polka dots, is from the DCWV Linen Closet Stack. The ribbon from Hobby Lobby and the sentiment is from American Crafts Dear Lizzy.
And, on the inside, I added a couple strips of paper along with the little tiny sun that I had originally cut and a sentiment from the Paper Studio.
Wow, u did a great job!
