Today I have a flower card that I made for a co-worker who turned 50! I started with the base from DCWV La Creme mat stack and then the frame is from Elegant Edges, Design1-S at 4 1/4", also using paper from the La Creme mat stack. The flowers were all cut from Mother's Day Bouquet, using various flower cuts ranging from 1/2" - 1 1/2" and then put together using dimensional foam dots and brads in the centers. The stems of the flowers are black gems from the Michael's bins and the stamp is from Inkadinkado.
For the LOVE of PAPER!!!

Flowers for BD
A good friend saw the flowers that I made for my mom's birthday a few months ago and loved them so, I decided to make her a bouquet for her birthday, which happened to be the week before we moved but I was determined. So, you probably guessed that my craft stuff was being packed on moving day...lol.
I bought a $1 container from Target and then used a piece of recycled Styrofoam for the inside and then topped it with some green paper shreds.
The flowers were all cut from the Mother's Day Bouquet cartridge in various sizes using some solid paper and paper from the K & Co., Amy Butler Designs, stack. I also used various brads for the centers of the flowers and dimensional foam between the layers.
Each flower is attached to a skewer that was inked in green. I also ink the edges of the flowers and use a pencil to curl the petals either in or out. These are a great alternative to real flowers and people really love them!

Flower Thank you
This card is one that I made with some extra cuts from a previous card. When I cut 3 of the 1x6 borders from the bracket cut on Ribbons & Rosette's, I had the two bracket strips left over from in between so I saved them as well as a single side cut that I inked in green at the bottom of the card.
The mat paper is from Teresa Collins Everyday Moments stack. The flower cut is from the Mother's Day Bouquet cartridge, Flower 6 cut at 3 1/2", 3", and 2 1/2" using DCWV Blossom Song paper.
I added a punched center to the flower and a blue gem as well as hand cut leaves that I inked the edges of, from the same DCWV stack. The stamp is from Studio G and the ribbon was just a misc piece I had.
On the inside, I used some more scraps and a stamp from Fiskars!

Celebrate with Flowers
I'm on a kick with the Mother's Day Bouquet cartridge lately! For this one, I used only the Flower 6 cut at 3 1/2", 3", and 2 3/4". The center of the top flower was cut using a 1" punch from Martha Stewart Crafts and the leaves were cut by hand, using some fancy scissors.
The strips of paper behind the flower were cut from Ribbons and Rosette's, the bracket cut, using the 1x6 border function, 3 times, and then the edges inked to show them off better. The stamped sentiment is from Studio G ; the pearls are 'grass' colored from Core'Dinations; and the green and white twine. All of the paper was from DCWV Flower Song stack.
I added some leftover strips on the inside and another Studio G stamp!

New Year's Eve Favors
A quick post for the Sour Cream containers that I made for our New Year's Eve party this past weekend. I pulled the instruction from http://www.card-making-ideas-and-instructions.com/sour-cream-container.html if you need them.
I used a shimmery silver paper and then filled them with candy and tied black curling ribbon around them. The medallions were made using Mother's Day Bouquet and I cut flower 36 (I believe) at 2" in black and then 1 1/2" in the same silver. I printed the year and used a Martha Stewart punch at 1" to punch them out.
Don't forget to leave a comment on my Monday post for a chance to win the blog candy that I have!! Happy New Year!

For the Record Bouquet
Today's Flower Bouquet was a first for me in making a bouquet. I made this for my mom using the Echo Park For the Record 6x6 stack and My Mind's Eye brads for the centers. I cut all the flower petals using Mother's Day Bouquet at various sizes using the printed paper and coordinating solid colors.
The flower 'stems' are bamboo skewers that I inked in green and the leaves are hand cut from folded paper. I embossed them using a Tim Holtz folder and then inked them and wrapped them around the stems and attached one side to the other, using ATG tape.
I inked all the flower petals and rolled the tips in and out. The bucket was $1 at Target and I filled it with a piece of foam and added some green crinkle shreds and a bow on the outside.

For My Mom
Bottom Layer was flower 30 cut at 3 1/4" and the tips were glittered with yellow stickles
Second Layer was flower 30 cut at 2 3/4" and the tips were glittered with yellow Studio G stickles
Third Layer was flower 29 cut at 2 1/4" and I added some glitter 'petals' with silver stickles
Top Layer was flower cut at 1 3/4" and the tips were just shaded with a yellow stamp
Assembly was a little different. I pop dotted between every later but, only in the center of the flowers, not out toward the petals and I added a large brad from My Mind's Eye, in the center. Once I did that, I decided to add some dots of platinum stickles to the third layer, right through the cuts of the top layer. The stem is the Branch 2 top layer from Cindy Loo, cut at 4 1/2" and then a small piece of scrap, from the flower cut, used in the one 'bud'.
The base of the card is gray with a yellow layer and then another fantastic piece of that Lemon Flower stack. I added a yellow ribbon from Michaels and then mounted the cartouche, with the layer, from the Sweethearts cartridge at 4 1/2" in the center.
On the inside, I used some larger, left over pieces from the front and cut another cartouche, at 1 1/2", with the top layer and then stamped a sentiment from Studio G and three more black gems. I really do love how this card turned out!
